The upcoming horror film – titled Sorrow is one that been hearing a lot
of buzz on. This is the story of a young woman who is abducted and
tortured but escapes and returns to exact her own personal vengeance on
her captors. Starring Vannessa Vasquez, in the title role which is be
released on DVD/VOD and on Amazon Prime on 2015, and then on Hulu in
Mid-May.
Movie Director Millie Loredo has cradled this
horror/twisted film for a few years and she’ll be making her directorial
debut. Loredo first wrote Sorrow as a 15 minute short film, which was
shot in Utah. The idea for the screenplay came from a nightmare Loredo
awoke from suddenly.
“I
woke up from a horrible nightmare, and I decided to pull out a sheet of
paper and start writing the dream down,” she said. “Three pages later, I
had the first draft of my treatment for a short horror film.”
I
must admit; I am an avid movie lover, before this sounds more like
nightmare to you, not that it should, and it won’t. I love analyzing the
Sh** out of movies. I love a good independent film. One who after
months out at sea, in these treacherous waters makes it home. It finds
the audience it needs and lets go.
An
independent film requires a lot more love and affection, especially if
it’s an ultra-low. Advertising on films now has been higher than ever.
And there’s a ton of filmmakers now and, that does make it harder for an
filmmakers out there fighting to be seen. Horror genre films can be
definitely made with a relatively low-to modest budget and still make a
great profit margin. A starlet is not usually need in a horror film, and
they still do well. But there’s usually a ton off horrible-horror
movies released every year with a non-existence plot and story. I’ve
picked up a few at RedBox. And yes, I still use.
Advertising
for some “Independent films “ can sometimes be more, a lot more than
the budget for of the production But these movies do very well due to
the fact that is a horror genre.
Low-budget movies under 10 million that make more than double at the box-offices include.

Loredo
set out for Verité (truthful) stylistic film, and doesn’t crumple over
the pressure of writing/directing and producing this feature film.
